FCE Projects is proud to take part in the UN Global Compact Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Flag Campaign for another year.
The UN Global Compact Network UK is an independent not-for- profit organisation. Their aim is to promote charitable sustainable development, relieve poverty, preserve and protect the environment, and promote ethical standards and conduct within businesses and the private sector in the UK.
The SDGs provide a globally recognised pathway towards the future we want, yet only 16% of the targets are currently on track to be met by 2030. With 84% showing either limited or reversed progress, the need for action is more urgent than ever.
Today (25th September), we joined hundreds of organisations across the UK, raising the SDG Flag to highlight our commitment to the Global Goals. Last year, over 650 flags were raised, and this year, the movement is set to be even bigger.
By raising our SDG flag, we aim to demonstrate our commitment to the Global Goals and highlight the actions we’re already taking to address major global challenges, such as climate change, poverty, and poor working conditions.
With only 1 in 10 people in Britain familiar with the SDGs, raising awareness through initiatives like this is essential. Together, we’re working to turn innovative thinking into action for a sustainable future.
