Mental Health Awareness Week 2025

Mental Health Awareness FCE

At FCE Projects, we’re marking Mental Health Awareness Week by celebrating the power and importance of this years theme, “community”, in our workplace, in our industry, and in the world around us.

We know that being part of a safe, positive community is essential for our mental health and wellbeing. It’s within strong, supportive environments that people feel seen, heard, and valued, and it’s where we all thrive!

But we also recognise the urgent need for change across our sector. Results from a survey conducted by Mindflow (A new charity championing mental health in construction) found that:

“56% of the 1,400 site workers were either currently experiencing or had experienced mental health problems.”

That’s why we’re investing in meaningful support. Over the past year, we’ve grown our number of trained Mental Health First Aiders from 1 to 3, ensuring more of our team are equipped to listen, support, and signpost when it matters most.

We’re also building a culture at FCE where:

  • People feel connected, not isolated
  • Challenges are shared, not faced alone
  • Purpose and belonging are part of our everyday work

“We recognise that so many people nowadays are suffering with their mental health. It’s important as employers that we respond and provide a workplace that promotes openness about the challenges our colleagues are facing.” Tim Whitehill, ESG Director.
